SLSQ Emerging String Quartet Program Presents: The Afiara String Quartet

Bring your lunch and join The Afiara String Quartet - internationally celebrated young string quartet, (current Juilliard Quartet in Residence and past participant of the SLSQ Seminar) for a short noon hour concert.

The St. Lawrence String Quartet Emerging String Quartet Program (ESQP) provides intensive training workshops to emerging string quartets on the skills, execution, development, presentation, and organization of community outreach programs, planting seeds for young ensembles when returning to their home communities to foster similar programs and connections.

The first string quartet to visit Stanford as part of the SLSQ's ESQP is the Afiara String Quartet, currently the graduate string quartet in residence at the Julliard School and recent first prize winner at the Munich International String Quartet Competition.

The SLSQ welcomes the public to attend The Afiara String Quartet in concert as part of the quarterly ESQP Noon Concert Series!

The ESQP is sponsored by the St. Lawrence String Quartet, the Stanford Institute for Creativity and the Arts (SiCa), and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
