Child-Free Women Support Group

Approximately 20-25% of women today reach midlife without having children--a higher percentage than ever before. Many factors account for this, including more economic opportunities for women, a concern about adding more to an over-populated planet, concerns about providing for children, and fertility problems in both men and women. This 4-session support group will provide an opportunity to explore and affirm alternative non-mother identities, to recast life goals if the child-free status is unexpected; and to feel supported by others whose full lives, for whatever reason, do not include motherhood. Pre-registration is encouraged, as group is limited to 12 participants. Class meets every other week.
