Mindfulness for the Workday

In four 90-minute sessions, learn mindful breathing and body scanning, desk yoga, self-soothing for difficult emotions, and a variety of surprising attitudinal practices for a healthier body and mind at work. A rapidly increasing body of research is documenting the evidence that mindful breathing and stress reduction techniques measurably improve the health of the body and the mind, reduce stress and increase happiness.

Instructor: Renee Burgard, LCSW, is a chronic conditions and pain management specialist with years of training and experience in the use of traditional and modern mind-body approaches for stress and pain management. She is the instructor for Palo Alto Medical Foundation's Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program.
